Influence of JobStock® Performance on Sarawak Employed Labour Force

Numbers of employed labour force (dependant variable) is crucial to decide not only economic growth of the country or state but reducing its poverty rate. The performance of JobStock® will be measured as numbers of advertised job advertisement and numbers of job positions advertised in the portal annually (independent variable). The analysis will be carried out by using Ordinary Least Square (OSL) Estimation Method. The 10 years time series data as shown in table below.

(A) Numbers of Advertised Job ADVERTISEMENTS VS Numbers of Employed Labour Force in Sarawak

The relationship between advertised job advertisement and numbers of employed labour force in Sarawak can be transformed into equation below:

Y = 0.07X + 985.76
Whereby y = numbers of employed labour force in Sarawak, X=advertised job advertisement in JobStock®

As shown in table above, the P-values of the independent variable is 0.0000 (significant if < 0.05) and correlation coefficient value is 0.07. It shows that numbers of advertised job advertisement in JobStock® significantly positive impact numbers of employed labour force in Sarawak and the increment in numbers of advertised job advertisement in JobStock® will increase numbers of employed labour force in Sarawak as much as 0.07 times.

(B) Numbers of Advertised Job POSITIONS VS Numbers of Employed Labour Force in Sarawak

The relationship between advertised job position and numbers of employed labour force in Sarawak can be transformed into equation below:

Y = 0.046X + 935.78
Whereby y = numbers of employed labour force in Sarawak, X=advertised job position in JobStock®

As shown in table above, the P-values of the independent variable is 0.0001 (significant if < 0.05) and correlation coefficient value is 0.046. It shows that numbers of advertised job position in JobStock® significantly positive impact numbers of employed labour force in Sarawak and the increment in numbers of advertised job advertisement in JobStock® will increase numbers of employed labour force in Sarawak as much as 0.046 times.
